The 'newsgroups redistribution service' we offer is no different from any of the hundreds of long established newsgroups/usenet sites over the Internet. We are providing a portal to an existing service. The Digital Millenium Copyright Act specifically provides 'Safe Harbors" for ISPs who host material they did not post themselves. Without these 'Safe Harbors' Usenet would cease to exist in its current form. ISPs would gradually stop offering the service for fear of copyright infringement attacks. We adhere to to the guidelines set out in this act U.S.C.17 Chapter 5 to qualify for Safe Harbor status.
